MTG - Modern League

It is time to start again the Modern league at Dragons Lair!

A bit about Modern:
Modern is one of the most interactive formats in MTG, card from Mirrodin and onward can be played. Moreover, Modern is the format in which RCQ events will be played for this season. There will be two modern RCQ events at Dragon´s Lair (28/9 and 26/10), therefore the Modern league is the perfect weekly event to test your favorite deck!

All players are welcome, newbies and experienced players are both welcome to our weekly events, bring your own deck or feel free to borrow some decks in the store or from some other players, we have plenty!

We will play the league for 12 occasions, and we will count players' best 8 positions to get into the top 8.

The league starts in August with the first event on Wednesday 14/8.
The last event for the league is Wednesday 30/10.
The final will be scheduled for November, preliminarily 17/11.

The final is 5 rounds with a cut to the top 4 (can be changed as we discuss alternatives).
If the final clashes with an upcoming event from Wizards, we move the final to another date.
The final will be free of charge for those players who qualify.

Cost of the weekly events: 60 kronor (2 tournament tokens) per event.

Prices of the weekly events:
4-0 SEK 75 store credit
3-0-1 SEK 50 store credit
3-1 SEK 25 store credit

The rest of the income from the week's events goes entirely to the final prize pool.

In addition to this, Dragon´s Lair will add 2 Regular and 1 Foil Promo Packs in each event to be opened on site and then players in standing order will pick 1 card at a time.

We increased the number of entry tokens to be able to provide higher prizes for the final event, assuring weekly prizes for the participants considering the extra promo packs provided by Dragon´s Lair.

If several players end up on the same score to qualify for the final, tiebreaks are as follows. If tiebreak 1 is also equal, we use number 2 and so on.

1: Most 4-0 results
2: Most 3-0-1 results
3: Most 3-1 results
4: Most 2-2 results
5: Most events played
6: Playoff match

In the final there will be prizes in the form of store credit. The prizes come from the 12 events played in the league and Dragon's Lair adds so that the final has a prize pool an additional % of the accumulated amount in store credit.

1st prize: 50% store credit
2nd prize: 25% store credit
3-4 price: 10% in store credit each
5-8 price: 2,5% Store each
